Anna "Annie" Pyszka - Benton, IL Anna "Annie" Pyszka, 86, of Benton, IL, died at 5:00 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Helia Healthcare, Benton, IL. Mrs. Pyszka was born on April 11, 1924 in Benton, IL, the daughter of Joseph Piecentini and Mary (Stanewich) Piecentini. She married Frank Pyszka on Jan. 4, 1945 and he preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1997. Anna was a homemaker and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Benton, IL. She was a member of both the V.F.W and American Legion Ladies Auxiliaries. She loved her cats and playing bingo. Surviving relatives include two daughters, Shirley Roberson, Benton, IL Paula Metzger and husband John, Benton, IL, one granddaughter, Kim Cordery and husband Jim, Springfield, IL, two great-grandchildren, Trevor Cordery, Springfield, IL, Katie Denzer and husband Andrew, Rochester, IL, one sister, Josephine "Sis" McCabe, Owings Mills, MD, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pyszka was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, IL. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Joseph Trapp officiating.
