Arlie Mitchell WilkersonWoodlawn, IL Arlie Mitchell Wilkerson, 47, of Woodlawn, IL, died at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at his home. Mr. Wilkerson was born on November 24, 1964 in Benton, IL the son of Curt and Mary Lou (Willis) Wilkerson. He married the former Lisa Adams on July 8, 2004 and she survives. Mitch was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired from Boeing Aircraft in St. Louis, MO in 2004. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving relatives include his wife, Lisa Wilkerson, Woodlawn, IL, two sons, Shane and Tyler Wilkerson, both of Akin, IL, step-children, Mindy and Brent Vanfossan, Christopher, IL, Michael and Suzy Bartolotti, Christopher, IL, five grandchildren, Kody, Garrett, and Paige Vanfossan, Jessica and Preston Bartolotti, all of Christopher, IL, father and step-mother, Curt and Bonnie Wilkerson, DuQuoin Lake, IL, a sister, Dana Wilkerson, Akin, IL, step-sister, Connie Grimes, Royalton, IL, a step-brother, Lonnie Atwood, Benton, IL, mother-in-law, Doris Adams, Mt. Vernon, IL, step-mother, Merna Wilkerson, Benton, IL, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Wilkerson was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, Curtis Dean Wilkerson, Jr., father-in-law, Robert Adams, paternal grandparents, Arlie and Beotta Wilkerson, maternal grandparents, Howard and Armetta Willlis, and a step-brother, Leroy Atwood. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2012 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory, Benton, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Derrick Cairel officiating. Burial will be in the Knob Prairie Cemetery, Akin, IL.
