Bonnie June King - Benton, IL Bonnie June King, 82, of Benton, IL, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Franklin Hospital in Benton. Mrs. King was born on June 17, 1931 in Union County, KY, the daughter of Maudie Franklin Day and Cynthia Ethel (Tapp) Day. She married Horace King on September 14, 1949 and he survives. Bonnie was a retired beautician and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Benton, IL. Surviving relatives include her husband, Horace King, Benton, IL, two daughters, Yolanda Hill, Benton, IL, Kim (Dennis) Followell, Benton, IL, three grandchildren, Nathan Hill, Benton, IL, Matthew (Davee) Followell, Benton, IL, Allyson (Ryan) Kathalynas, West Frankfort, IL, two great-grandchildren, Kyler Followell, Alivia Kathalynas, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Evelyn Neal, Dorothy Linxwiler, and Mildred Barnett, and five brothers, Aubrey, Georgie, Charles, Orval, and Thomas Day. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:30 a. m. Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in Benton, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a. m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Sammy Simmons officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p. m. Saturday in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Henderson, KY.
