Cheryl Loy Norman - Benton, IL Cheryl Loy (Puckett) Norman, 61, of Benton, IL, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2011 in her home. She was born on June 23, 1950 in Akin, IL the daughter of Virgil Puckett and Helen (Johnson) Puckett. She married James Norman on April 3, 1982 and he survives. Cheryl was a housewife and dedicated caregiver. She loved the outdoors and never met an animal or person she didnt love. She enjoyed daily walks in the neighborhood, gardening, animals, traveling, and spending time with her grandson, Jesse-Lee. She is survived by her husband, James Norman, Benton, IL one daughter, Jennifer Norman, St. Louis, MO, one grandson, Jesse-Lee Norman, St. Louis, MO, one sister, Alicia Kay Flores, Clovis, CA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Norman was preceded in death by her parents. Cheryls wishes were to be cremated. There will be no services. Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, IL is in charge of arrangements.
