Della Mae Dixon - Benton, IL Della Mae Dixon, 70, of Benton, died at 10:40 p. m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 at her home. Ms. Dixon was born on November 29, 1941 in Kittanning, PA the daughter of Delbert McCoy and Laura Bell (Rivers) McCoy. Della Mae was the keyboard player for the Black Lace Band for thirty-plus years. She was one of the founding members of the band and an avid animal lover. Surviving relatives include a grandson, Jeremy Dixon and fiance Sue, Jacksonville, AR, two great-grandchildren, Kaytlynn and Shiloh Dixon, both of Jacksonville, AR, one niece, Sandra Leigh Martin, Hoffman Estates, IL, two nephews, Richard Cox, Indiana, Donald Cox, Kankakee, IL. Ms. Dixon was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Laurie Ann Dixon, a grandson, Shiloh Micah Dixon, and one sister, Donna Linda Martin. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p. m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in Benton. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Brother Marty Shadowen officiating.
