Donald G. Wininger, 69, of Benton passed away at 3:26 p.m., on Friday, August 14, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on June 6, 1951, to Harold and Cloeva (Armes) Wininger in West Frankfort, IL. On April 20, 1981, Don married Bonita "Bonnie" Christopher.

Don was a loving husband, father and grandfather and loved being with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed working on cars and vacationing in Branson.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Bonnie Wininger, seven children, Ryan Wininger, Kristen (Jason) Garner, Kimberly (Dale Houseworth) Livesay, Robin Culbreth, Stephen Livesay, Beth Livesay and Kevin Livesay; seven grandchildren, Nicholas (Emily) Culbreth, Emily Culbreth, Ashlynn Heavrin, Ainsley Mueller, Molly (Chris) Baker, Josh Houseworth and Zach Houseworth; six great-grandchildren, Calvin Culbreth, Archer Culbreth, Ray Anne Baker, Allyson Winemiller, Sydney Baker and Ava Baker; six brothers, Dean Wininger, Leon Wininger, Larry Wininger, Mike Wininger, Kevin Wininger and Jerry Delgy and two sisters, Rita Couch and Kay Wininger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Cloeva Wininger, a brother, Rick Wininger and mother-in-law, Bonnie Snider.

Services have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Benton, IL.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Pate Funeral Home, Benton, IL.

Per Don's wishes cremation was held.

Memorials may be made to SSM Hospice and Home Health Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
