Duane Clem, 49, of Johnston City, passed away on July 19, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, IL, with his family by his side. Mr. Clem was born on March 20, 1966 to Billie Ray and Paula Kay (Kelley) Clem in West Frankfort, IL. Duane worked as a Salesman for Mid-West Fasteners. He was a member of Ezra Church of God in West Frankfort, IL. Duane was a loving son, brother and uncle. He was an Ordained Minister and enjoyed working with youth in ministry. Duane loved to sing and would organize and attend Gospel music concerts. Mr. Clem is survived by father, Billie Ray (Diana) Clem; brothers and sister, Scott Clem of West Frankfort, IL, Tracy Clem of Marion, IL and Roger (Lisa) Clem of Thompsonville, IL; nieces and nephew, Bailey, Damien, Lauren and Kenzi; girlfriend, Tammy Chamness; children, Brittiani (Tim) Gregg and Chelsea Chamness; a granddaughter, Brooklyn. He was preceded in death by mother, Paula Kay (Kelley) Clem. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Ezra Church of God, 1345 Ezra Street, West Frankfort, IL. Memorial services will be held 3 pm on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Ezra Church of God, West Frankfort, IL. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in care of funeral expenses.
