Evelyn Marie Moore - Benton, IL Evelyn Marie Moore, 90, of Benton, IL, died at 4:40 p. m. Monday, May 27, 2013 at Franklin Hospital in Benton. Mrs. Moore was born on August 18, 1922 in Burkesville, KY the daughter of Gordon Stanley Ferguson, Sr. and Clara Edna (Stearns) Ferguson. She married Raymond Moore on September 9, 1950 and he preceded her in death on February 1, 2000. Evelyn retired from Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical in Detroit, Michigan and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Benton. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and bird watching and spending time with her dogs Bella and Stubby. Evelyn was known to her nieces and nephews as "Aunt Mimi". Surviving relatives include one sister, Clara Mae Eiler, Hyannis, MA, two sisters-in-law, Virginia "Virg" Ferguson, Rochester Hills, MI, Betty Davis, Aurora, IL, and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Gordon Stanley Ferguson, Jr. Visitation will be from Noon to 2:00 p. m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory in Benton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Carter officiating. Entombment will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton.
