Evelyn "Sue" S. Gugin, 63, of Sesser, passed away at 11:47 a.m., on Friday, September 10, 2021, at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon, IL.

She was born on December 8, 1957, the daughter of Louie and Velma (Willmore) Gower in Christopher, IL.

Evelyn loved her family dearly. She enjoyed camping.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Britney S. Maceri of Benton; son, Cheyenne Maceri of Benton; three grandchildren, Rylee, Liam and Stella; one sister, Jane Eubanks and two brothers, Michael Maceri and William Wallace; and several nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Benton, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Velma Gower and three brothers, Ronald Maceri, Richard Maceri and William Willmore.

Per Evelyn's wishes, cremation will take place.
