Frances Lucille (Mayer) Henry - Christopher, IL Frances Lucille (Mayer) Henry, 76, of Christopher, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side at 9:53 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Herrin Hospital. Mrs. Henry was born on July 29, 1935 in Benton, the daughter of Fred "Fritz" Mayer and Pearl (Lewis) Mayer. She married Robert "Bob" Henry on April 23, 1960 and he preceded her in death on April 14, 1977. Their son, Robert "Bobby" Henry, II, preceded her in death on January 14, 1969. Frances attended SIU Carbondale for three years majoring in Home Economics in the late 1950s. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. In the early 1960s she helped deliver several babies at Franklin Hospital in Benton. She was a wonderful stay-at-home mom for many years until the death of her husband. She then worked at SI Trader, Big Johns Bakery, Diet Center of Southern Illinois and Fashion Bug until her retirement. She then babysat her granddaughter, Savannah May Henry Staples, "Sissy"&mdash
