Freda Rude, 93, of Benton, passed away on August 8, 2015 at Helia Health Care in Benton, IL. She was born on August 2, 1922 to Ernest and Zelma (Buchanan) Rude in Christopher, IL. She was a member of First Christian Church of Christopher. Freda is survived by her sister, Maxine Abbott; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Flossie; and two brothers, William and Bobby. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, 2:00 pm at the Harrison Cemetery, Buckner, IL. Memorials contributions may be made to First Christian Church of Christopher and will be accepted at the funeral home.
