Obituary

Frederick Hamilton Deer, 71, of Logan, IL, died at 9:05 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2015, at Herrin Hospital, Herrin, IL, following a lengthy illness due to complications from a surgery in January. He was employed and volunteered at 3ABN in Thompsonville, IL. After retiring from serving 20 years in the United States Air Force, he taught in several private colleges in California helping them develop computer departments and programs. Mr. Deer then moved to Sioux Falls, SD, where he worked for a company called Sencore. Fred met his wife Maryline in 2003. He is survived by his wife, Maryline, two sons, Michael and David, both of Riverside, CA, and three sister-in-laws, Constance, Dorothy and Myrna. He was a gentle and sweet man and was loved by those who knew him. Arrangements under the direction of Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory, Benton, IL.
