George A. Dudzinski Sr.Buckner, IL George A. Dudzinski, Sr., 68, of Buckner, IL, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Dudzinski was born on March 22, 1945 in Hartford, CT the son of Walter and Mary (Krowlakoski) Dudzinski. He married the former Wanda Paszowski on May 31, 1980 and she survives. George was a United States Army Veteran serving for 36 years. He was a member of All Nations Church, Marion, IL, and was active with their food pantry. George was a loving husband, father and grandfather, a true family man. He was always known to be caring, compassionate, and enjoyed serving people. George truly had a heart of gold, a devoted Christian serving the Lord and spreading the message of salvation. Surviving relatives include his wife, Wanda Dudzinski, Buckner, IL, five children, George (Nicole) Dudzinski, Jr., Valier, IL, Eli (Margaret) Wirtes and Jacob (Lisa) Wirtes, ten grandchildren, Alex, Taylor, Morgan, Cassi, Devin, Jake, Eli, Alex, Bella and Annah, a brother and sister, two sister-in-laws, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Dudzinski was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Joseph. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, February 21, 2014 at the All Nations Church, Marion, IL with Pastor Bruce Fox officiating with military honors performed by the Benton American Legion/V.F.W. and the Marion National Guard Honor Squad. In honor of Georges dedication to the food pantry the family request can good items and non-perishable items be collected at the funeral home.
