Glenna N. Glass - Benton, IL Glenna N. Glass, 92, of Benton, IL, died at 4:44 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2011 at Helia Healthcare, Benton, IL. Mrs. Glass was born on February 22, 1919 in Cypress, IL the daughter of James Harrison Adams and Grace (Penrod) Adams. She married John Glass on March 4, 1950 and he preceded her in death on February 5, 2007. Glenna was a retired grade school teacher and was a member of the Ina Free Will Baptist Church, Ina, IL. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, watching basketball games, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and eating at McDonald' restaurant. Surviving relatives included a step-son, John T. Glass and wife Judy, Brentwood, MO, two step-grandchildren, Daniel and Phillip Glass, both of Brentwood, MO, a brother, Oard Adams and wife Reba, Cobden, IL, a sister, Jessalyn Canupp, Cypress, IL, a brother-in-law, Vernon Glass and wife Emogene, McLeansboro, IL, two nephews, Larry Parks, Marshall Co., KY, J.R. Parks, West Paducah, KY, two great-nieces, Amye LaVerdi and husband Gary, Benton, KY, Lisa Berkley, Calvert City, KY, special friends, Gary and Rosemary Marlow, Benton, IL, Jeff and Krista Marlow, St. Louis, MO, Gina and Chris Cozart, Ewing, IL, and her special friends at McDonald'. Mrs. Glass was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Sarah Mae Parks. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, IL. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Dale Burzynski officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery, Macedonia, IL.
