Jenetta C. Trussell, 70, of Christopher, passed away at 11:41 a.m., on Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Herrin Hospital, Herrin, IL.

She was born on January 19, 1949, to Carel W. and Phyllis (Kelley) Long in Christopher, IL. Jenetta was a retired LPN.

Jenetta was a member of the Christ View Christian Church, Christopher, IL. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Jenetta loved spending time with her family, friends and pet dog Charlie. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening.

She is survived by her two sons, Ed Gossett of Mulkeytown, IL and Sean Gossett of Mulkeytown, IL; two brothers, Phillip Long and Carel L. Long; four sisters, Jan Seymour, Sharon Stull, Linda Wright and Sonya Barringer; and four grandchildren.

Jenetta was preceded in death by her parents, Carel and Phyllis Long; and a brother, Jess E. Crowe.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Benton, IL.

Per Jenetta's wishes cremation will take place.
