Jeremiah "Jay" Cosby - Benton, IL Jeremiah "Jay" Cosby, 33, of Benton, IL, died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012. Mr. Cosby was born on November 22, 1978 in Potosi, MO the son of Richard Cosby and Diana (Rolens) "Sunshine" Cosby. Jay loved to barbeque and fish with his family and friends. Jay enjoyed performing tattoo work and riding bikes with his best friend Bro. He loved all of his family and friends. From Dad&mdash,"Always remember the white doves" Surviving relatives include his wife, Christine Cosby, Benton, IL, father and step-mother, Richard and Deborah Cosby, Cypress, IL, mother and "Pops", Diana Cosby and Cecil Abbott, Benton, IL, three daughters, Katlyn, Ashley, and Staci Cosby, all of Benton, IL, one son, Isaiah Jay Cosby, Christopher, IL, six brothers, Joshua Jay Cosby and fiance, Mary Bruegge, Benton, IL, Jacob Cosby, Cypress, IL, Michael Lampley, William Massey, Jr., both of Orient, IL, Justin Massey, Benton, IL, and several other brothers, one sister, Addie Lynn Degler and husband Nick, West Frankfort, IL, maternal grandmother, Joyce McCmillen, Potosi, MO, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Cosby was preceded in death by twin sisters, Heather Jean and Hannah Joan Cosby, paternal grandparents, Lucille Cosby and John David Cosby, Sr., maternal grandfather, Melvin "Pete" Rolens, maternal great-grandparents, Edith McClain and Homer E. McClain, and one nephew, Matthew Lampley. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, IL. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Brother Michael Wall officiating. Following the services his body will be cremated.
