Jodie Louise Dawson, of Benton, IL, died at 5:30 a.m., Thursday, January 1st, 2015, at home in Hendersonville, TN. Mrs. Dawson was an owner/operator of her beauty shop until her retirement. She was a loving wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was a member of First Church of God, West Frankfort, IL. Surviving relatives include her one sister Genevieve Cox of Springfield, MO, Bonnie Huckabee (half-sister) of Paragould, AR, Joann Miller (sister-in-law) of Light, AR and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Needa Price of Light, AR, Sallie Price (step-mother), Harold (Hank) Williamson (first husband), Seldon Dawson (second husband), Colin Price (half-brother), and step-brothers Doyle Miller and J.T. Lands. In lieu of flowers, and because of her great love for animals memorial contributions may be made to Franklin County Humane Society, RR 2, Box 376, West Frankfort, Illinois 62896. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory, Benton, IL. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the funeral home with the Reverend Gayle Stone officiating. Burial will follow services at Denning Cemetery, West Frankfort, IL.
