Joe V. Tadlock - Benton, IL Joe V. Tadlock, 83, of Benton, IL, died at 6:27 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Stonebridge Senior Living Center, Benton, IL. Mr. Tadlock was born on February 26, 1928 in Logan, IL the son of Willie and Alta (Summers) Tadlock. He married the former Almeda Irvin on November 28, 1980 and she survives. Joe was a retired construction worker and a WW II U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Logan Church of God and enjoyed fishing, gardening, yard work and sports. Surviving relatives include his wife, Almeda Tadlock, Benton, IL, two sons, Wendell Tadlock, Peoria, IL, Darrell Tadlock, Peoria, IL, three grandchildren, Jeremy Tadlock, Sparland, IL, Rachel Tadlock, Peoria, IL, Aaron Joe Tadlock, Peoria, IL, two great-grandchildren, Elias Reed and Mason Tadlock, one brother, William Tadlock, Williamsville, IL, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Tadlock was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Herman and Bobby Tadlock, three sisters, Lucille Bandy, Opal June Upchurch, and Joyce Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, IL. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Roy E. Boothe officiating.
