John L. Gass, 49, of Mount Vernon, IL, passed away at 6:59 am on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, IL.
He was born on May 31, 1967. John worked as a Inspector for Continental Tire.
John enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors. He was a loving father to his two children.
John is survived by a daughter, Megan Gass of San Tan Valley, AZ; a son, Dillon Gass of Benton, IL; a future grandchild; a sister, Amy Neibel and husband Scott of West Frankfort, IL and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by mother, Eva J Gass.
Pate Funeral Home in Benton IL, in charge of cremation services.
