John Alden Miller, Jr.Benton, IL John Alden Miller, Jr., 58, of Benton, IL, died at 12:33 p. m. Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at his sister' home in Benton. Mr. Miller was born on October 22, 1954 in Christopher, IL the son of John Alden Miller, Sr. and Louetta Miller Tollison. John worked as a foreman with Illini Asphalt and was a Christian. Surviving relatives include three children, Melissa Dawn (Jeffrey) McCardle, Moss Point, MS, Stephanie Lynn (Dewayne) Miller, Brookhaven, MS, John Alden (Heather) Miller, III, Wesson, MS, six grandchildren, Blake, Ashlyn, Justin, John Parker, Cami, and Jayden, his mother, Louetta (Dave) Tollison, Benton, IL, three brothers and one sister, Jerry (Ginger) Miller, James "Red" Miller, Jack (Jenny) Miller and Jean Ann (Stanley) Williams, all of Benton, the mother of his children, Brenda Darlene Beyer, Hurley, MS, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his father and a granddaughter, Ava McCardle. Johns wishes were to be cremated. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
