Jonell Pyles, 69, of Benton, IL, died 6:00 a.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Herrin Hospital, Herrin IL. She was born January 4, 1945, the daughter of Lester & Hazel Johnson. She married Norman Pyles, Sr. and he survives. Surviving relatives include her husband, step-son, Norman (Amy) Pyles, Jr. of Dexter, MO, step-daughter, Tamara Pyles of DuQuoin, IL, three step-grandchildren, three brothers & one sister. Jonell was preceded in death by her parents, step-son, Gary Pyles and one sister. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory, Benton, IL. Burial will be in the Herrin Cemetery, Herrin, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Hobbs Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory for funeral expenses.
