Linda S. Brayfield - Benton, IL Linda S. Brayfield, 62, of Benton, IL, died at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014, at her residence. Ms. Brayfield was born on August 1, 1951, in Benton, IL the daughter of Denzil Summers and Eileen (Warren) Summers. Linda was a member of the Benton Eagles. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed going to the farmers market, cooking, and traveling. Surviving relatives include her children, Tina (Derek) Hutchins, Marion, IL, Jerry Brayfield, Gulf Shores, AL, and Leigh (Ted) Heater, Ewing, IL, brothers and sisters, Vernon Summers, St. Louis, MO, Marion Caswell, Moody, TX, Daniel Summers, St. Louis, MO, Betty Eubanks, Benton, IL, Larry Summers, Benton, IL, and Barbara (Warren) Walton, Benton, IL, six grandchildren, A.J. and Autumn Hutchins, Bryson, Brayden, and Brooklyn Brayfield, and Payton Heater, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ms. Brayfield was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, James Summers. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, IL. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Bryant Harris officiating. Burial will be in the Knob Prairie Cemetery, Akin, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rescue Freewill Baptist Church Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
