Loyce Diane Bleichner - Benton, IL Loyce Diane Bleichner, 65, of Benton passed away Thursday evening, Aug. 9, 2012 in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Mrs. Bleichner was born on August 19, 1946 in Toppertown, MO the daughter of Billy Milton McCollum and Laura Victoria (Knight) McCollum. She married Robert Bleichner on February 17, 1979 and he survives. Loyce and her husband Bob are the owners of the Pizza Shack in Benton. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Benton and Ducks Unlimited, Sesser Chapter. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed sewing and gardening and spending time with her family. Surviving relatives include her husband, Bob Bleichner, Benton, five children, Erin Shannon, Benton, Alan Brockett, OFallon, TSgt Robert Bleichner, II, USAF, Dr. Amanda Bleichner, Carbondale, Ryan Bleichner, Benton, three grandchildren, Victoria Atchison, Samuel Anastasi, Addison Anastasi, all of Benton, one sister, Ruthie McCollum, Benton, two brothers, Michael (Jolene) McCollum and Steve (Dixie) McCollum, both of Jackson, MO, three sisters-in-law, Beverly (Ron) Sexton, Philo, Janice Revell, Martina (Allen) Dial, both of Urbana, one brother-in-law, Paul Bleichner, Urbana and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Bleichner was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Lance Shannon. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2012 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in Benton. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Benton with Father Joseph Trapp officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton.
