Lucy D. Overturf - Benton, IL Lucy D. Overturf, 86, of Benton, IL, died at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Benton Rehab and Health Care Center, Benton, IL. Mrs. Overturf was born on April 25, 1925 in Franklin, KY the daughter of Charles and Hattie (Owens) Cook. She married Oscar Overturf on August 12, 1966 and he preceded her in death on April 26, 1996. Lucy was a housewife and of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed playing bingo, dancing, and going out to eat. Surviving relatives include several step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and special friends, Dave and Miriam Griffin, Thompsonville, IL. Mrs. Overturf was preceded in death by his parents, husband, two step-sons, Bill and Dick Overturf, a step-grandson, Mark Overturf, three brothers, Edgar, Eugene, and Homer Cook, and two sisters, Bonnie Payne and Mayzell Wallace. A special thanks to the staff of Benton Rehab and Health Care Center for their wonderful care for Lucy over the years. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, IL. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Mt.
