Lumos N. Robertson, Jr.Ewing, IL Lumos N. Robertson, Jr., 79, of Ewing, IL, died at 9:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2012 at his home. Mr. Robertson was born on January 18, 1933 in Fyffe, AL the son of Lumos N. Robertson, Sr. and Pearl (Daulton) Robertson. He married the former Irene Ogle on April 25, 1952 and she survives. Lumos was a mechanic at Crossroad Ford in Springfield, IL prior to his retirement. He previously worked as a shop foreman at Rogers Cartage Trucking Company, Decatur, IL and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 279. Lumos was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Benton, IL. He loved being outside, gardening, fishing, and coon hunting. Surviving relatives include his wife, Irene Robertson, Ewing, IL, one son, David L. Robertson, Sr., Westville, IL, one daughter, Gloria J. Gillick, Chicago, IL, four grandchildren, Samuel Ealey, III, Conway, AR, Andrew Allen Ealey, Springfield, IL, David Lee Robertson, Jr., Danville, IL, April Dawn Athey, Pawnee, IL, several great-grandchildren, a half-brother, Columbus Lambert, Flat Rock, AL and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ronald J. Robertson, and one brother, Andrew Lambert. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory, Benton, IL. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Hammond officiating. Burial will be at 1:15 p.m. Friday in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, IL.
