Margaret Marie Veach, 81, of Opdyke, IL, passed away at 10:28 p.m., on December 15, 2018, at her residence.

Miss Veach was born on October 10, 1937, to Charles McDonald and Jennie Bixler. Some time later, Margaret married Dale Veach, and he precedes her in death.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Granite City, IL. Margaret enjoyed working in the yard, cooking, and making crafts.

Margaret is survived by her five children, Jennie Orender of Granite City, IL, Cynthia Conley of Opdyke, IL, Nina Jackson of Granite City, IL, Patricia Painter of Daven Port, IA, and Edward S. Ward of Opdyke, IL; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Jennie McDonald, and loving husband, Dale Veach.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Benton, IL.

As per Margaret's wishes, cremation will take place.

Services will be held at a later date.
