Martha Jill Ford, 68, of Benton, IL, died at 1:48 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Herrin Hospital, Herrin, IL. Mrs. Ford was born on March 25, 1946, in Morley, MO, the daughter of Rogers & Lessie (Brashears) Vaughn. Martha was a loving and fun spirited mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was known for her humor, spunkiness and being an entertainer. Martha also had a special place in her heart for animals especially dogs. Surviving relatives include her seven children, Connie Kinard, Vince Ford, Timmy Ford and wife Riki, Billy Ford, Shelly Simpson, Bobbie Sherrod and husband Michael, Shannon Dunagan and husband Mark, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two sisters, Nadine and Jenni, and other nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobbie Dean Ford, a brother and sister. Cremation services were handled by Hobbs Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory, Benton, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
