Michael "Mike" Anthony Kordik, 68, of Mulkeytown, passed away at 2:02 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Herrin Hospital, Herrin, IL.

He was born on February 2, 1952, to Joe and Gladys (Bozek) Kordik in Cook County, IL. Mike retired as an Engineer for the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. He married Claudia (Blezina) Kordik and she survives.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mike is survived by his loving spouse, Claudia Kordik, one daughter, Heather Kordik; one grandson, Tate; and a brother, Andy Kordik.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Gladys Kordik.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Benton, IL.

Per Mike's wishes cremation will take place.
