Mildred O. Wiggs - Benton, IL Mildred O. Wiggs, 90, of Benton, IL, went to be with the Lord at 5:26 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Helia Healthcare, Benton, IL. Mrs. Wiggs was born on August 5, 1921 in Arkansas the daughter of Mr. Waldrum and Florence (Elieff). She married Charles Fred Wiggs on May 1, 1940 and he died on August 2, 1983. Mildred was a housewife and a member of the New Life Church of God, Benton, IL. Surviving relatives include two sons, Rev. Bill Wiggs, Independence, MO, Charles Wiggs, Benton, IL, ten grandchildren, Regina Peterson, Rev. Kenneth Wiggs, Kevin Wiggs, Rev. Bill Wiggs, Jr., Dawn Endrijaitis, Stacy Heath, Michael Fergusion, Charles Wiggs, Rachel Wiggs, Patricia Odle, twenty-two great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Shirley Toms and Betty Stevens, both of Benton, IL and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wiggs was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2011 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery, Benton, IL.
