Mildred Wohlwend - Benton, IL Mildred Wohlwends spirit flew away to be with our Lord Jesus on December 8th, 2010. She passed away peacefully at Stonebridge Nursing Home in Benton, IL. Mildred was born in Morganfield, KY. She was one of eight children born to the late Enoch and Laura Bebout, and was the beloved wife of the late Lester Wohlwend for over 60 years. Mildred will forever be remembered by her, loving sister, Lavata Fellows of Ohio, devoted daughter, Patricia Dietrich and son-in-law, Dan, also of Benton, IL, treasured grandchildren, Anjie Hughes and husband, Jim, of Benton, IL, Jon Dietrich and wife Jamie, of St Charles, IL, and David Dietrich and wife, Nancy, of St Peters, MO, eight devoted great-grandchildren, Ethan and Anna Hughes, Jackson and Jefferson Dietrich, and Ally, Drew, Grant, and Zach Dietrich, along with countless friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Mildred loved quilting, painting, camping and cooking many memorable pies and treats for everyone. She enjoyed her days at Heritage Woods Assisted Living in Benton, having fun with friends. Mildred touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained a strong determination all the way to the end. We as a family wish to thank Stonebridge of Benton for their loving care and devotion during these last few months. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a special service immediately following on December 14th, 2010, at 1:00 pm at Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, 301 South Main St., Benton, IL 62812. Burial service will be at Rose Hill cemetery in Marion IL. The family requests that all donations be sent to the wonderful people at Good Samaritan Hospice, 605 N. 12th St., Mt Vernon, IL 62864 who gave loving care for Mildred in her time of need.
