Paul Roger SchramAkin, IL Paul Roger Schram, 74, of Akin, IL, died at 10:03a.m. Monday, February 14, 2011 at Franklin Hospital, Benton, IL. Mr. Schram was born on January 2, 1937 in Benton, IL the son of Oness Schram and Celia (McAdoo) Schram. Paul retired from the Manteno State Hospital where he had worked in the dietary and housekeeping departments. He was a Baptist and enjoyed rummage sales, playing the lottery and telling jokes. Surviving relatives include two sisters, Iva Jean Summers and husband Harold, Akin, IL, Joyce Ragan and husband Jim, Buckner, IL, two brothers, Jack Schram and wife Margaret, Macon, IL, Douglas Pete Schram and wife Beverly, LaBelle, FL, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Schram was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Elizabeth Hernandez and Ramona Lewis, and three brothers, Robert Jarvis Schram, Billy Floyd Schram, and George Truman Schram. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, IL. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Derrick Cairel officiating. Burial will be in the Brady Cemetery, Akin, IL.
