Richard Ray Davis, 85, of Benton, passed away at 2:28 a.m., on Monday, November 6, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on August 5, 1938, to Arlee and Virginia (Doty) Davis in Benton, IL. Richard was a United State Navy Veteran.  On May 22, 1987, he married the former Billie Millard.

Richard was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He was an avid fan of watching the Padres, Cardinals and enjoyed Reading.

Richard is survived by his loving spouse of 36 years, Billie Davis, two sons, Phillip (Angie) Davis and Jim (Paz) Davis; and three grandchildren, Kristiana, Garret and Grace.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Benton, IL.

Per Richard's wishes cremation will take place.
