On July 20, 2016, Robert "Howdy" Mandrell was called home to be with the Lord. Howdy was preceded in death by his father, Robert Mandrell, Sr., grandfather, Brad Sutton and grandson, Dakota Mandrell.
Howdy is survived by his two sons, Dustin and Devin Mandrell of West Frankfort, IL; his mother, Connie Sutton of West Frankfort, IL; step-father, John Sutton of Coello, IL; two granddaughters, Kimberly Kay and Raiylynn of Christopher, IL; girlfirend, Kristy Stinson of Orient, IL; two sisters, Beth Ann Patterson of Harrisburg, IL and Kendra Key of Coelle, IL; one brother, John Allen Sutton of Benton, IL and several other brothers and sisters. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to the wishes of Howdy, there will be no services and he will be cremated.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pate Funeral Home, 301 South Main St., Benton, IL to assist the family with funeral costs.
