Robert L. Rone's Obituary
Robert L. Rone, 82, of Benton, passed away on November 19, 2015, at his residence.
He was born on May 7, 1933, to Durward and Myrtle (Hunt) Rone in Harrisburg, IL. He married Shirley Ann (Thomas) Rone and she preceded him in death.
Robert worked as a coal miner for Old Ben #25 and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert Wayne Rone, Roger Lee (Janet) Rone of Akin, Roy Eugene (Lisa) Rone of Herrin, and Roberta Lynn (Jim) Bayless of Thompsonville, nine grandchildren, Theresa Ann, Jason Warren, Travis Keith, Lee Ann, Ronald Wesley, Ryder Lee, China Marie, Darryl Shannon, and Alecia Gale; six great-grandchildren, Micaela Lynn, Trenton James, Emma Nycole, Logan James, Kayla Diane, Ronald Noah and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley, parents Durward and Myrtle, two sons, Ricky Allen and Ronald Dale, four brothers, one sister and one great grandchild Addyson Grace.
Private graveside services were held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, 2:00 pm at the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery, Benton, IL, with the Reverend Eddie Paul Davis officiating.
Burial took place in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory, Benton, IL was in charge of the arrangements.
