Ruby N. Thomas - Benton, IL Ruby Nell Thomas, 95, of Benton, died at 2:00 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Benton Rehab and Healthcare Center. Mrs. Thomas was born on October 7, 1917 in Franklin County, IL the daughter of William "Bill" Robert Roberts and Alta (Moore) Roberts. She married Charles Lincoln Thomas and he preceded her in death on August 28, 1976. Ruby was a housewife and of the Methodist faith. Surviving relatives include one brother, Howard P. (Eleanor) Roberts, Evansville, IN, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Arthur L., Guy L., and Loren W., and William R. Roberts, five sisters, Delphia P. Gayer, Gladys Marie Gosnell, Lois Browning, Wilma Lucille Thompson, and Mary Kathryn Ludington. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Franklin Cemetery in Whittington. Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in Benton is in charge of arrangements.
