Ms. Sears was born on January 19, 1947 in Benton, IL the daughter of James Albert Glover and Mary Louise (Pritchard) Glover. Sandy graduated from Benton High School in 1964 and lived in Benton most of her life. She was a real estate agent for several years, then a nursing home aide later in life. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Benton, IL. Surviving relatives include three children, Stacy Suzanne Sears and husband Charles Lamb, Ft. Worth, TX, Thomas Jason Sears and wife Michelle (Kerley) Sears, Heidleburg, Germany, James Edward Sears and fiance Tara Davenport, Bay City, MI, eight grandchildren, Cholley Kalin Kern and Mary Elizabeth Kern, Ft. Worth, TX, Zachary Thomas Sears, Austin Michael Sears, Natalina Hailey Marie Sears, all of Heidleburg, Germany, Maya Mallory Sears, Faith Rebecca Sears and William James Sears, all of Bay City, MI, one sister, Rebecca Cocke, Benton, IL, two nephews, Spencer and Cory Peaugh, originally from Benton, IL and one niece, Beth Freeman, Canton, GA. Ms. Sears was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, IL. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Kurt Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery, Benton, IL.
