Sharma M. Taylor - Benton, IL Sharma M. Taylor, 60, of Benton, IL, died at 9:32 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center, Mt. Vernon, IL. Mrs. Taylor was born on October 5, 1951 in Belvidere, IL the daughter of Robert Higdon, Fern (Corn) Darnell Higdon, and James Evan Darnell. Sharma was a licensed cosmetologist and an active member of the Benton Eagles Aerie 2898 Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving relatives include one sister, Arlyn Higdon, Paducah, KY, one brother, David Darnell, Benton, IL, two step-brothers, David Higdon, Paducah, KY, Robert Higdon, Elgin, IL, her life partner, Sisto A. Ferrari, Benton, IL, four children, Christina (Tony) Armes, Logan, IL, Scott (Brenda) Pauly, Benton, IL, Anthony (Stephanie) Pauly, West Frankfort, IL, Adam (Lyndsey) Ferrari, Logan, IL, four grandchildren, Cassie, Skyler, Casey, and Carson, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Darlene Paulson, Evalaine Jerry, and Lauren "Annie" Mulholland and one brother, Howard Darnell, two grandchildren, Adam Pauly and Gavin Michael Lee. Sharmas body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2012 at Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory, Benton, IL with Brother Paul Reynolds officiating. A graveside committal service will be conducted by Rev. John Elko at Antioch Cemetery, Macedonia, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
