Sharon Jean Hill-Berrong, 77, of Benton, IL,  passed away at 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Helia Healthcare in Benton, IL.

She was born on March 31, 1941, to Thomas Sr. and Dorothy Fern (Hopkins) Hill. Sharon married Glenford Berrong and he precedes her in death. She attended Akin Grove Baptist Church. Sharon loved nature, traveling and camping in her RV.

Sharon is survived by her son, Bradley (Nickey Lyn) Leon Berrong, and brothers, Thomas Hill Jr, Larry Hill, and Dennis Hill.

Sharon was preceded by her parents, Thomas Sr. and Dorothy Fern Hill, and her loving husband, Glenford Berrong.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Benton, IL.

As per Sharon's wishes, cremation will be held.

Services will be handled privately.

Memorials may be made to the Benton Ministerial Alliance- Food Pantry and will be accepted at the funeral home.
