Sharra S. Smith-Del Longo, 67, of Valier, IL, died at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Mrs. Smith-Del Longo was born on December 1, 1946 in West Frankfort, IL the daughter of Harlie B. Smith and Wanda (Hand) Collier. She married George L. Del Longo and he survives. Surviving relatives include her husband, a son, Dale (Trudy) Schroeder, a sister, Harriet (Michael) Lewis, four grandchildren, Samantha, Joel, Jacob, and Tyler Schroeder. Mrs. Smith-Del Longo was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harley B. Smith, Jr. and Frank Collier III. Services are currently pending at Hobbs Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory, Benton, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to VIVA Shelter, Lompoc, CA, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
