Shirley Jane Anheuser, 71, of DuQuoin, passed away on February 23, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on May 24, 1944, to Rick and Zelda (McClure) Dreste in Warrenton, MO. Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, taking care of her grandchildren and playing Bingo. Shirley was a kind person and always put others before herself.
Shirley is survived by her five children, William C. Anheuser, III of Elkville, IL; Angelina L. Cooper of DuQuoin, IL, Candace Waller of DuQuoin, IL, Ashlea Anheuser of Dowell, IL, Ginnifer Steeley of DuQuoin, IL; two brothers, Jim McCann of Freeburg, IL, Tracy McCann of Murphysboro, IL; two sisters, Sadie Brooks of Ava, IL, Linda Bukovac of Branson, MO; fourteen grandchildren, Brettan Cooper, Derek Cooper, Riley Cooper, Prestin Green, Parker Berry, Marcy Dunmeyer, James Owens, Rylan Lively, Olivia Lemmons, Adalyn McLanhan, Kloe Steely, Khora Steely, Feona Steely, Phinox Steely.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rick and Zelda Jane Dreste, grandchild, Kory Jane Cooper, three brothers, Larry McCann, Johny McCann and Roger McCann adn a nephew, Greg Gerberding.
Cremation was held per Shirley's wishes. Services will be privately held.
