Shirley Ann Roberson, 75, of Benton, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at her home in Benton.

She was born on September 19, 1945, to Frank and Anne (Piecentini) Pyszka in Benton. Shirley worked as a Hairdresser for many years. On October 29, 1966, she married Raymond Roberson, and he preceded her in death on August 26, 2003.

Shirley loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed pencil art and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and the Fighting Illini.

Shirley is survived by her loving daughter, Kim Roberson Cordery of Springfield, IL and her sister, Paula (John) Metzger of Benton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anne Pyszka and her husband, Raymond Roberson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Benton, IL.

Per Shirley's wishes, cremation will take place.

A private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Franklin County Animal Control and will be accepted at the funeral home.
