Stella Faye Harrawood - Benton, IL Stella Faye Harrawood, 85, of Benton died at 6:12 p. m. Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Helia Healthcare in Benton. Mrs. Harrawood was born on May 11, 1927 in Mt. Vernon, IL the daughter of George Washington Artis and Ruby (Whitsell) Artis. She married Inman Harrawood and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1995. Stella was a houseparent at the Mooseheart Boys Home in Batavia, Illinois prior to her retirement. She was a member of the New Life Church of God in Benton. Surviving relatives include five children, Vanita (Louis) Hill, Buckner, John Roger Fleehart, Arkansas, Jerry (Patricia) Fleehart, Fort Wayne, IN, Kathy (Dale) Crow, Rochelle, IL, Karla Brewer, Benton, eighteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, one brother, David (Mille) Artis, Pace, FL, one sister, Georgia (Marlin) Bracken, Milton, FL, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Harrawood was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Tommy Wayne Fleehart, and thirteen brothers and sisters. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in Benton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a. m.
