Tammy R. Starr, 56, of Benton, passed away at 5:27 p.m., on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at her residence.
She was born on November 5, 1959, to Truman and Loretta (Ligons) Hufford in Gideon, MO. On October 21, 2014, she married Wayne Starr.
Mrs. Starr was a member of A Brotherhood Aimed Towards Education; A. B.A.T.E. Chapter 27, an organization dedicated to preserving the rights of all motorcyclist.
Tammy was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She took pride in her grandchildren and loved them dearly. She enjoyed camping.
She is survived by her loving spouse of two years, Wayne Starr, two daughters, Likita Starr of Marion, IL and Tosha Darnell of Leaf River, IL; a brother, Lynn Hufford and wife Ruth of Benton, MO; and six grandchildren, Eli, Raymond, Dakota, Jakob, Joslyn and Khloe.
Tammy was preceded in death by parents, a brother and sister, Harold Hufford and Carol Nelson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Benton, IL.
Per Tammy's wishes cremation was held, the family is planning a memorial service at a later date at Pate Funeral Home.
