Tena Florence WilkersonBenton, IL Tena Florence Wilkerson, 89, of Benton, IL, died at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Heartland Regional Medical Center, Marion, IL. Mrs. Wilkerson was born on August 6, 1922 in Franklin County, IL the daughter of John Davis and Ethel (Sandusky) Davis. She married Paul Wilkerson on October 12, 1941 and he preceded her in death on May 24, 2011. Tena and her husband owned and operated the Benton Dairy Queen in the 1960s. She was a member of All Nations Church of God in Marion, IL. She enjoyed traveling and camping and spending time with children and grandchildren. Surviving relatives include two daughters, Paula Lewis, Centralia, IL, Sharon House and husband David, Benton, IL, three grandchildren, Preston House and wife Bonnie, Benton, IL, Leigh Ann Kerley and husband Scott, Ewing, IL, Shannon Roberts and husband Ryan, Centralia, IL, eleven great-grandchildren, Jace, Tristan, Julian, Alyssa, and Keaton House, all of Benton, IL, Hadleigh, Griffen, and Emeline Kerley, all of Ewing, IL, Brandon and Taylor Brown and Bennett Roberts, all of Centralia, IL, a brother, John Davis, Benton, IL, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Wilkerson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Pauline Davis, Esteleta Kinison, one brother, Paul Davis. A private funeral will be held at Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, IL. Burial will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery, Benton, IL.
