Terry L. Key, 64, of Christopher, IL, died at 2:58 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2014, at Doctors Nursing & Rehab, Salem, IL. Mr. Key was born on August 11, 1950, in Benton, IL, the son of Nixon & Velma Mary (Rains) Key. Terry enjoyed fishing and camping and was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Surviving relatives include his children, Sandra (Jason) Morgan of Marion, IL, Jerry (Renee) Key of Marion, IL, Becky (John) Hayes of Zeigler, IL, Desirae (Donald) McGlasson of Sesser, IL, Joni (Robert) Plumlee of Buckner, IL and Terry Key, Jr. of Benton, IL, one brother, Kim Key of Buckner, IL, three sisters, Ann Key, Bonnie Key and Joy Eubanks, all of Christopher, IL, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Bud Key, Frank Key and Gary Key and one sister, Velma Key. Terry requested to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Hobbs Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of arrangments. Memorial contributions will be accepted at the funeral home to help the family pay for funeral costs.
