Timothy Eldridge, 61, of West Frankfort, IL, died 8:05 p.m., Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at his residence. He was born on January 25, 1953, in Benton, IL, the son of Jimmie and Carmel (Wilburn) Eldridge. Mr. Eldridge was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Tim enjoyed flying remote controlled airplanes and woodworking. Mr. Eldridge is preceded in death by his mother. Surviving relatives include his wife, Cathy A. (Caraker) Eldridge, two children, Jennifer Eldridge, Timothy Steven Eldridge and Jaclyn James, three grandchildren, Trevor Owens, Morghan Eldridge and Lizzie Schardin, two brothers and sisters, Jim Eldridge, Mark Eldridge, Diane Essary and Nancy Sims. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory, Benton, IL. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the funeral home with military rites performed by the Benton American Legion and the Air Force Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home in care of funeral expenses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
