Violet Allen - Benton, IL Violet Allen, 95, of Benton, IL, died at 4:55 a.m. Sunday, July 4, 2010 at the Franklin Hospital, Benton, IL. Mrs. Allen was born on November 7, 1914 in Salt Lake City, Utah the daughter of Louie Gaz and Mary (Zasso) Gaz. She married Thurman C. Allen and he preceded her in death in 1961. Violet was a housewife and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Benton, IL. Surviving relatives include one son, Ervin Allen and wife Jeanne, Benton, IL, eight grandchildren, a nephew, John Gaz, Christopher, IL. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Louis Allen, one brother, Edigio Gaz. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery with Father Joseph Trapp officiating.
