Virginia R. (Young) Havener - Benton, IL Virginia R. (Young) Havener, 92, of Benton, IL died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Franklin Hospital, Benton, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Feb. 4th, 2012 at the Illiopolis Christian Church, Illiopolis, IL with Pastor Melissa Ebken officiating. Burial will be in the Mechanicsburg Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, Feb. 3rd at the church. Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory, Benton, IL is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Havener was born on October 29, 1919 in Dawson, IL, the daughter of John C. and Rena (Hemp) Young. She married Lester Havener and he preceded her in death on September 14, 2004. Virginia retired as a kindergarten school teacher with the Illiopolis Grade School. She was a member of the Illiopolis Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star and the National Education Association. She is survived by three children, Leslie Cox and husband Courtney, Benton, IL, Julia Havener, Benton, IL, and Joseph Havener and Mary Ellen, Illiopolis, IL, seven grandchildren, Ben Cox and wife Carrie, Nathaniel Cox, Elijah Cox and wife Lindsey, Timothy Cox, Melisa Keltner and husband Jeremy, Mollie Rene Morgan and husband Nathan, and Chelsea Campbell
