William "Mike" Michael Barger, 34, of Benton, passed away 11:20 p.m. on August 31, 2015 as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was born on September 8, 1980 in West Frankfort, IL. Mike married the former Joy Young on June 4, 2011 in Benton, IL. Mike was a loving son, husband, father and brother. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and horses, hunting, fishing and spending time with his loving children. Mike was a Christian and had a very caring heart. Mr. Barger is survived by his wife, Joy (Young) Barger; children, Preston M. Barger and Millie K. Barger; parents, Scott and Lora Kay (Barger) Key; three brothers, Dillion S. Key, Zachary Ryan and Shane Matthew; a sister, Ashley Stocks; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Millie and Morris Barger. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 10, 2015, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory, Benton, IL. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015, 7:00 pm at the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory, Benton, IL, with Mark Minor, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in care of funeral expenses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
