William David Tedrow - Benton, IL William David Tedrow, 57, of Benton, died at 5:55 p. m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at his home. David Tedrow was born on October 2, 1955 in Detroit, MI the son of William Dean Tedrow and Virginia Dare (Knowles) Tedrow. He married the former April Dawn Robinson on March 7, 1987 and she survives. David worked at Barton and Collins Furniture Store, Old Ben Coal Company, Benton High School, and Bethel Grain. He was a member of Whittington Church and the U.M.W.A. He was often referred to as the "Go to Guy" because he was always volunteering to help others and if he didnt have the means or ability he would find someone that could complete the task. He was known to be kind hearted, helpful, hardworking, fun loving and never met a stranger. David was a loving husband, father, pawpaw, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving relatives include his wife, April Dawn Tedrow, Benton, two sons, Jami Lee (Maggie) Tedrow, US Navy, Guam, Jason Nicholas (Talia) Tedrow Benton, two daughters, Jennifer Rene (Jason) Lewis, Mt. Carmel, Jessica Lynae (Eric) Smith, Benton, two grandsons, Jaydon Nicholas Tedrow and Taylor William Tedrow, both of Benton, three granddaughters, Bria Dawn Tedrow, Benton, Madison Rene Lewis, Mt. Carmel, Alayna Dare Smith, Benton, one brother, Steve (Barbara) Tedrow, Michigan, two sisters, Bryan Wilt, Benton, Margaret Carter, Michigan, his mother-in-law, Margaret Jackson, Christopher, two sisters-in-law, Tracy (Bob) Trober, DuQuoin, Suzanne (David) Gates, DuQuoin, one brother-in-law, Robert (Michelle) Robinson, Tennessee, several special nieces and nephews, and far too many special friends to list. David Tedrow was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 4:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Whittington Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Thursday at the church with Pastor Mark Minor officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton.
